Tulane University Center for Public Service: Get a new website and support service learning with Tulane!

Get a new website and support service learning with Tulane!
We have one service learning class this Fall still seeking community partners who are interested in having a free website developed.  Through the Computer Science “Software Studio” course with Professor Kurdia, ~ 20 service learners create a brand-new website for partner agencies.  We’re seeking 5-7 partners. Here is one of the websites students created in the past.

Any organization type would work. By having a mix of organizations with a variety of missions and target populations served is actually better for the class because it will lead to a healthy discussion around a variety of social inequalities in class. The organization representative should be open to meeting with the students every two weeks, in person or online.  This project would not be a fit for organizations who already have a functional website and just need updating.  Students will be able to provide training to the organization at the end of the semester.

The class will provide the partner with the skills to maintain the website, so anyone who is an active computer user can do it.  Please contact CPS representative Tiye Jones tjones29@tulane.edu or Prof. Kurdia at akurdia@tulane.edu, if interested.
