Aetna: Poverty Simulation Experience, June 2nd

Aetna would love to invite y’all to the following event!  Please feel to extend the invitation to NFP/PAT Home Visitors.  We have 10 spots available.

On Friday, June 2nd from 8:30 – 11:30 at the Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center, 2200 Lafitte Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119, we will be hosting a Poverty Simulation Experience.  Please note a light snack will be served at 8:30 and the simulation will start promptly at 9:00am.

The event provides a simulation for attendees to assume the identity of a family member living in poverty.  The “family members” navigate four 15-minute “weeks” and journey through a month of circumstances that the family might encounter.

The Poverty Simulation Event helps participants think about the unique challenges that many of our Medicaid members must face each day as a result of living with low income constraints.  Most importantly, the event can help our team members to serve our members better as we identify areas of change that can positively impact the effects of poverty on individuals, families and communities.  This will be a valuable learning opportunity for you individually and can be a wonderful team building opportunity as well!

Look forward to your participation!

Best,

Arianna and Carla
