The Committee for a Better New Orleans (CBNO) will host its 50th Anniversary Gala to commemorate and honor five decades of leadership in community advocacy and governmental partnership. This work has included developing community leaders through the Bryan Bell Metropolitan Leadership Forum, bringing information on key issues and resources (e.g., “The Residents Guide to City Services”) to the community, developing and promoting community engagement opportunities (e.g. Big Easy Budget Game), and advocating for open, effective, and accountable government.
In addition to reflecting and celebrating these contributions, we will honor an individual and two organizations that have made significant contributions to Empower Citizens to be Agents of Change. Selected honorees have demonstrated leadership in mobilizing groups of citizens and harnessing energies to help make New Orleans a better place to live through work that ensures equity and opportunity for all.
