LSU School of Public Health is recruiting subjects for a study of tap water lead levels. Improved lab analysis methods are being field-tested.

The water test and shipping are free.  Results will be provided to you within 1-3 weeks from the time kits are received in the lab.

Homes targeted include those in older areas of the City of New Orleans (see neighborhoods below) and those which don’t have a home filtration system for their kitchen tap. Of particular interest are homes with children or families who use unfiltered tap water for cooking or drinking.

If interested in participating, please contact Adrienne Katner at akatn1@lsuhsc.edu  provide her with your phone number and neighborhood, and indicate a good day/time to call you. She will answer any questions you have and arrange a time to deliver the kit to your home.
