The President’s Task Force on New Americans and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invite you to participate in a listening session on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, from 1 to 2 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the role and scope of the Task Force on New Americans and ways in which federal programs can increase meaningful engagement between new Americans and the receiving community.

On Nov. 21, 2014, President Barack Obama issued a memorandum establishing a White House Task Force on New Americans, an interagency effort to develop a coordinated federal strategy to better integrate new Americans into communities.

During this listening session, Task Force members and USCIS officials will provide an overview of the Task Force on New Americans and seek your feedback on best practices or strategies for successfully integrating immigrants into local communities.

To register for this session, please follow the steps below:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invites you to participate in a listening session on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss DAPA, one of the recently announced executive actions on immigration.

On Nov. 20, 2014, President Barack Obama announced a series of executive actions. Under one of those actions, certain parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who have been living in the country since Jan. 1, 2010, will later be able to request deferred action and employment authorization for three years. During the listening session, USCIS officials will provide an overview of the new initiatives and seek your feedback on DAPA.

New Orleans Police Department Consent Decree Monitor: Third Quarter 2014 Report Meeting

The Quarterly Report for the Third Quarter of 2014 of the New Orleans Police Department Consent Decree Monitor is available for review.
